The Blitz - The Aftermath

The Blitz - The Aftermath

In September 1940, Germany decided to launch an air attack against UK cities, to break the will of the people and force them to surrender. But despite an 8-month campaign of day and night raids, the spirit of the British people could not be broken.

With interviews and archive footage showing the sheer amount of devastation – from the loss of life to the immense damage caused to buildings across the country - The Aftermath looks at how the Blitz changed the face of Britain’s cities and lives.
